Ordinance 1229, passed in 1993, created a curfew for all Hope youth.
In 1993, the City of Hope Board of Directors passed Ordinance 1229 that created a youth curfew. As was pointed out at our last Board meeting, the current youth that this impacts weren't even alive at the time of its passing. Thus, we wanted to remind our citizens that this exists and it was passed in 1993 and is currently enforced by our Hope Police Department. This ordinance can be summarized: City of Hope Youth Curfew Ordinance prohibits Children under 18 from being in public without a parent or legal guardian between midnight and 5 am on Friday and Saturday nights and 11 pm and 5 am on all other days.
